Back in 2014 Petrucha was born, after gathering experience from a previous shoe project. We named it Petrucha in honour of my grandmother, which was the way we lovingly called her. Our intention was to create a brand to work more outside of the mainstream of the footwear field. We put together a small team and opened our own workshop, where we could be in charge of our creations and be able to pay homage to handcrafted footwear, produced according to our own criterion.
The workshop is a space for experimentation and creativity where we carefully manufacture all our shoes paying special attention to detail and supervising every step of the process. We create unisex footwear with high-quality materials, not adhering to collections, seasons or trends, whilst designs feature a minimal and natural aesthetic, raw edges and hand-stitched detailing.
We work only with leathers that come from vegetable tanneries, focusing as much as we can on natural shoe components, such as recycled, water-based products and low chemical content materials.
Petrucha shoes have their own spirit and a clean design seemingly simple, yet complex in their creation, are timeless shoes that are made with special care so that they improve with time and never lose their value.
